Committees

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee oversees the affairs of the Foundation, approves its agendas, and monitors the other standing and ad hoc committees. Additionally, the Executive Committee assists the university in defining the institution’s immediate and long-range advancement goals and priorities, and in identifying the university’s private funding needs.

Development Committee

The Development Committee advises and assists the president of the Foundation in leading the fundraising efforts for Wayne State University. The committee guides the Board in all fundraising matters. Specifically, the committee will help establish goals and objectives; will help craft the campaign plan; and will assist in the development and execution of fundraising strategies. Members of the Development Committee may be called upon to participate in personal outreach to prospective donors.

Investment Committee

The Investment Committee assists the Board with all investment-related matters, including policy and strategy matters, investment manager selection and implementation, and review for compliance and performance relative to objectives.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee assists the Board of Directors by: a) assessing and appraising Board organization, operation, membership and attendance to insure maximum effectiveness; b) maintaining a candidate list of potential directors through an ongoing search; c) identifying individuals who meet all approved criteria for Foundation service at the director level and; d) making nominations for membership on the Board.
