Glantz Family - Generous Donors

Paul and Mary Glantz have established the Paul A. and Mary K. Glantz Family Endowed Scholarship in the School of Business Administration by making Wayne State University the owner and beneficiary of their $1 million life insurance policy.

Mary was offered a four-year Merit Scholarship to attend Wayne State, which enabled her to complete a four-year study of business. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and secured a variety of responsible financial and accounting positions during her career. Mary believes that the key to her success was provided by the generous donors who funded the Merit Scholarship.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree with high distinction in business administration from Wayne State. He worked in several high level positions in business, culminating in the vice presidency of finance and administration with Proctor Financial, Inc. He helped guide the company from a value of less than $1 million to more than $50 million.

With his entrepreneurial spirit, Paul was the driving force behind the development and operation of Emagine Novi and Emagine Canton, two state-of-the-art 18-screen megaplex theaters. As part of the cinematic exhibition industry, he has been quoted in numerous publications on the future of movie going and has appeared on CNN, discussing quality features of the theaters designed to enhance the movie-going experience.

Mary and Paul hope their generous gift to the university will make a difference in students' lives, just as Wayne State made a difference in their lives. As they stated in their gift agreement: "We want to help make families proud of their students' scholastic achievements, and can think of no better way to say 'thank you' to Wayne State University for its support of the Glantz family than by supporting future business school graduates."
