Rob Fournier - Investment for the Future

Soon after becoming Athletic Director at Wayne State University in August 2000, Rob Fournier realized the critical need for general support for the Athletics program. In response to the university's Faculty and Staff Campaign in 2005, he and his wife Pamela determined to establish a provision in their estate plans to support the Athletics program in the future.

"People invest for the future, and that is no different for Pam and me," Rob commented. "The young men and women we have met have a special potential that will benefit so many beyond athletics. These student-athletes epitomize the best for a promising future - hard work, perseverance and a commitment to excellence. I can think of no better investment that will reach across generations."

Rob, an attorney who maintains his license to practice law in Ohio, and Pamela, a deputy program manager for ACS, have embraced the Detroit community. "We have always lived in an urban setting and the vitality, diversity and cultural setting of Detroit is reflected in Wayne State. We hope this gift furthers those qualities," Pam stated.

A bequest in a will or trust stipulates that a specific amount or a percentage of your estate be given to the university after your lifetime. Your bequest may be designated to a specific college, school or program, to a faculty endowment or scholarships, or it may be unrestricted and used where needed most. Gifts from your estate to Wayne State University are exempt from estate tax.
